Paphos Airport to Paphos by Bus (Routes 612 & 613)
Published
Two OSYPA buses connect Paphos Airport to town: 612 to Kato Paphos and 613 to Karavella, the intercity bus station. Both use the same OSYPA flat urban fare, and both run every day of the week, including Sunday. The ride takes roughly 30 to 40 minutes.
Timetables on this page are loaded live from BusCyprus, so they follow the operator's current schedule rather than a snapshot from the day this guide was written.
Quick answer
- Heading to Kato Paphos, the harbour or the tourist strip? Take 612 to Tombs of the Kings Bus Station.
- Heading to the old town or connecting onward to another town? Take 613 to Karavella Bus Station, Paphos's main intercity hub.
- Both leave from the same stop outside arrivals. Neither needs a reservation or a ticket bought in advance, so just pay the driver.
Where to catch the bus
Both routes use the same stop, Paphos Airport, right outside the terminal. The timetables below are for that stop. Each route shows two directions: buses leaving the airport for town, and buses arriving back at the airport.
Route 612, for Kato Paphos and Tombs of the Kings
612 terminates at Tombs of the Kings Bus Station, near the archaeological park and the hotel strip along Poseidonos Avenue. It is the more frequent of the two routes, running roughly every hour through the day and into the late evening, and it was the more dependable one at every hour we tested.
Note that this is not the same place as Paphos Harbour Station, a separate stop about 1.6km away served by other routes. Several guides conflate the two.

Route 613, for the old town and Karavella
613 terminates at Karavella Bus Station, about 1.4km from Tombs of the Kings and also the departure point for Intercity Buses Ltd coaches to Nicosia and Limassol.
613 runs noticeably less often than 612, with gaps of up to about three hours in the middle of the day. Because of that, our trip planner will sometimes route you to Karavella on a 612 plus a short second bus rather than have you wait for the next direct 613. At a couple of the times we tested, it found no working route to Karavella at all despite a departure being listed.
If that happens when you travel, take 612 to Tombs of the Kings instead. From there it is a level walk of roughly 20 minutes to Karavella, or a short taxi ride.

612 or 613, which should you take?
- Staying in Kato Paphos, near the harbour, or along Poseidonos Avenue: 612, direct, and it runs more often.
- Staying in the old town, or continuing to Nicosia or Limassol by coach: 613 to Karavella, or 612 to Tombs of the Kings if 613 is not running when you need it.
- Not sure, or 613 looks quiet? 612 is the safer default. It had a working direct itinerary in every scenario we tested, including Sunday.
Fares and how to pay
A single ticket is €2.00 before 21:00 and €3.00 after 21:00, paid to the driver in cash. This is the flat OSYPA (Paphos) urban fare. Cash to the driver. Same price when loaded on a Motion card e-wallet.
It is separate from the Motion smart card fares used by the Nicosia and Larnaca network, which are a different system with different prices. Fares quoted elsewhere for "Cyprus Public Transport" or for a Motion card do not apply to these routes.

Live arrivals
Getting back to the airport
Both routes run inbound to the airport as well, with the last scheduled buses late in the evening. Coming from Karavella, a direct 613 comfortably makes a 23:30 airport arrival. Coming from Tombs of the Kings for a similarly late flight, our planner did not find a matching 612 in testing, so for a flight after 22:00 check the live timetable below before relying on the printed schedule, and have a taxi in mind as a backup.
Leaving very early instead? Both routes have inbound buses well before dawn, ahead of most morning departures.
