Paphos Airport to Larnaca by Bus (Kapnos Shuttle or via Limassol)

Larnaca Airport is on the east coast, about 130km from Paphos Airport by road. For most people the direct Kapnos Airport Shuttle is the sensible choice: one private ticket, children free, and it ends exactly at the terminal you are heading for. The cheaper, longer alternative is a Limassol Airport Express connection through Limassol.

Both options end at Larnaca Airport, not in Larnaca town. If your hotel is in the centre, budget an onward LPT city bus after you land (route 425 to the bus station).

• Happy to change in Limassol for a cheaper ride? Ride Limassol Airport Express from Paphos Airport to Agios Georgios Havouza, then LAE onward to Larnaca Airport. Ask about the airport-to-airport ticket if you are only moving between the two airports.
• Sunday is the lean day. Kapnos runs fewer Larnaca trips on Sundays, and the LAE connection is thinnest then too. Check the live tables for your actual day.

Where to catch each service

Paphos Airport has separate stops for separate operators, a few metres apart on the forecourt outside arrivals. The stop name on your ticket matters.

• Kapnos Airport Shuttle: the coach bay for the shuttles to Nicosia and to Larnaca. Not the OSYPA city bus stop.
• Limassol Airport Express: the dedicated LAE bay, used for the Paphos Airport legs in our other airport guides.

Option 1: Kapnos shuttle (direct to Larnaca Airport)

Kapnos runs a dedicated Paphos Airport to Larnaca Airport corridor. The coach leaves from its own bay, skips Paphos town entirely, and covers the trip in about 1 hour 55 minutes by the operator's own trip times.

Departures vary by day. In the current timetable we counted about six on a weekday, two on a Saturday and four on a Sunday from the airport, with the runs spread through the day rather than on a strict clock pattern. Check the live table below for your travel day.

The table shows the next scheduled runs from the airport stop. These are timetable times, not live bus positions. Kapnos has not verified this display inside BusCyprus.

The fare is a flat €20 one-way for a standard ticket, checked in the operator's own booking system on the day this guide was written. Children from 2 to 12 and infants ride free, which makes the shuttle much more attractive for families than the public route. Buy at the Kapnos desk in the arrivals hall, from the driver, or through their booking channels. This is a private airport shuttle, not part of the Motion card network, so a Motion card does not help here. Full amounts sit in the fare panel under Fares below.

Where Kapnos drops you

The shuttle terminates at Larnaca Airport, right outside the terminal you are flying from. If you are heading into Larnaca town, route 425 takes you from the airport to the bus station, covered in the Larnaca Airport to the city guide.

Option 2: Via Limassol on Limassol Airport Express

Limassol Airport Express does not publish a single through coach from Paphos Airport to Larnaca Airport. You ride Limassol Airport Express to Agios Georgios Havouza in Limassol, then change onto LAE again for Larnaca Airport.

Limassol Airport Express runs many times a day between Paphos Airport and Limassol. The leg on toward Larnaca Airport is thinner. Check both tables below before you commit to this path.

Airport-to-airport ticket

If you are only moving between the two airports, LAE sells a through airport-to-airport ticket on its published timetable. You still change at Havouza; you just pay once for that product instead of two separate corridor tickets. Ask at the LAE desk or the driver. Amounts are in the fare panel.

Which option should I pick?

• Kapnos shuttle: about 1 hour 55 minutes direct to Larnaca Airport, one flat €20 ticket with children free, running most of the week including evening departures. Best for luggage, families, and anyone who wants the trip done in one.
• Limassol Airport Express, two legs (or the airport-to-airport ticket): one change in Limassol, ends at Larnaca Airport, often a few euros cheaper on the through ticket. Best when Kapnos does not line up with your flight.

Both are daylight-leaning and neither is a true overnight cross-island service, so check the live tables for the exact day of your flight.

Night and late arrivals

Neither Kapnos nor Limassol Airport Express is a true overnight trunk across the south coast. Kapnos keeps some late-evening runs toward Larnaca, but departures are sparse, and Sundays are the thinnest. If you land at Paphos Airport late, check the live shuttle table above against your arrival time before you plan around it.

Getting back to Paphos Airport

For Kapnos, board at Larnaca Airport (LCA) on the return timetable toward Paphos Airport. Departures are a handful a day, so check the table for your travel day.

For Limassol Airport Express, take the coach from Larnaca Airport to Havouza, then change onto the Paphos leg. The airport-to-airport ticket works in both directions.
